Geochemical Mapping

  • This is an on-going programme that involves the analysis of thousands of samples of soils, rocks, sediments, water & plants taken from accurately known locations, for as many elements as possible (currently about 60).  Existing information from other programs with geographically referenced data, e.g. agricultural productivity, biodiversity, epidemiology, geology, land use, and remote sensing are also incorporated as layers into the database.
