A Geochemical Atlas of Jamaica. 

A Geochemical Atlas of Jamaica reports on the first stages of the development of a flexible, high precision geochemical database for Jamaica, a powerful developmental tool for both short-term and long-term use.

The text describes:

• Appropriate sample types, sampling methods and sample treatments for regional geochemical studies in the Jamaican environment
• Sampling and analytical methods for soils, rocks, stream sediments, and water
• The distribution in soils of thirty-two elements: Al, As, Br, Ca, Cd, Ce, Co, Cr, Cu, Dy, Eu, Fe, Hf, Hg, I, La, Lu, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Pb, Sb, Sc, Sm, Sr, Th, Ti, U, V, Yb and Zn in surface soils
• Data on surface and underground waters for the standard parameters and for the metals: Al, Cd, Co, Cr, Fe, Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn
