Opportunities for Students

The Centre offers a summer employment programme for students from the three campuses of the University of the West Indies and the University of Technology.

Internships
ICENS offers a limited number of internships for qualified graduates from the Caribbean region.

Fellowships

Research Fellowships
ICENS seeks funding to allow a limited number of local and international fellows to participate in its programmes.  Opportunities are also available for researchers on sabbaticals or fellowships.

Jamaica presents a number of interesting situations and scientists and their students would be welcome to join ongoing programmes.  Much of the work underway or proposed may be of particular interest to other developing countries where there are similar problems of environmental vulnerability associated with development, in support of which high-quality data is often still sparse.
